Newspaper wants Libertarian Sarvis in Virginia debates

The Roanoke Times has called for Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Robert Sarvis to appear in the upcoming candidate debates in Virginia.

Currently, only the Republican and Democratic candidates will be allowed to participate.

Tennessee Libertarians work for party recognition

Tennessee Libertarian candidates are trying to make sure they get listed on this November's ballot as "Libertarian," not "independent."

Historically, Libertarian candidates in Tennessee have been listed as independents on the ballot. A recent article in the Tennessee Daily News Journal talks about how hard it is to get listed with your party label in that state. Tennessee Libertarians have filed a federal lawsuit to overcome this restriction.

Illinois ballot access media coverage

The Chicago Sun-Times has recently provided some coverage of Libertarian ballot access efforts in Illinois.

On July 29, the Sun-Times published an article, "Libertarians work to stay on Illinois ballot."
