Victory for Liberty in California Special Election

By: Dr. Vince Mamo

Voters overwhelmingly defeat Proposition 1A that would have increased taxes by 16 Billion dollars during a recession.

A Libertarian needs your help, and you don't even need to leave your home

Dear friend,

It may be a slow election year but there are still some exciting races happening across the country…and you can help without even leaving your home!

Specifically, I want to bring to your attention the special election for California’s 32nd congressional district where Libertarian Christopher Agrella is running.

The primary is on May 19th and the general election on July 14th and we are looking for volunteers all across the nation to help support Chris’ campaign.

Income Tax is Voluntary says Harry Reid, Tea Parties Cancelled!

Citizens across America rejoiced on hearing the news that the income tax is voluntary. We have it straight from the mouth of one of our elected representatives. Senator Harry Reid in this short clip describes our tax system as a voluntary system. I’m sure that’s a relief for the hundreds of thousands of Americans who may not have filed their taxes yet. If you were thinking about going to a Tea Party this coming Wednesday, I guess you can stay home.

It’s common to hear today from Americans that “if we knew then what we know today, we should never have gone to Vietnam. “ Even my father who served as a Green Beret and who agreed with the Iraq invasion visits his friends names at the Vietnam Memorial with a tear in his eye and regret in his voice.

Volunteer Appreciation Spotlight

The Libertarian National Committee would like to recognize Daniel Kamerling as an outstanding and exceptional volunteer.  As a person who has been voting Libertarian for almost a decade, Daniel volunteers because he "thinks the Libertarian Party has a lot of good ideas to help America, and [he] wanted to spread those ideas beyond [his] own circle of friends and family."

He has been coming into the National Headquarters office for the past few months, assisting with Operation Elect-Us and various other national events.
