Illinois LP wins lawsuit to strike unconstitutional ballot access restriction

Image​On February 12, the Libertarian Party of Illinois won a lawsuit filed in 2012 against a state law requiring that new parties run full slates of candidates.

This prevented parities which may not have a candidate qualified to run for attorney general, for example, from running a candidate for governor or other statewide offices.
