26 Libertarians on the ballot in Indiana this November

ImageThe Indiana Libertarian Party will have 26 candidates on the ballot this November.

The Indiana LP consistently puts candidates on the ballot, including 15 in 2011, 31 in 2012, and 65 last year.

New Jersey LP will have six candidates on the November ballot

ImageThe New Jersey Libertarian Party will be running six candidates for partisan office this November, including two for the state legislature, one for county office, and three for local office.

New Jersey is one of four states which conducts races for their state legislature in odd-numbered years. The others are Kentucky, Mississippi, and Virginia.

Virginia LP will have eight candidates on the November ballot

ImageThe Virginia Libertarian Party will be running eight candidates for partisan office this November, including five for the state legislature, two for county office, and one for local office.

The Virginia LP also had eight candidates on the ballot last year, as they ran candidates for the US Senate and seven of the eleven US House seats, a record for a non-establishment party in the state.

'Banned from pride event for being a gay libertarian'

ImageMembers of the Washington state Libertarian Party were recently banned from a gay pride event for their support of the second amendment.

The LPWA had been attending the Capital City Pride Festival for years, but this year were told by the festival chair that they were no longer welcome.

Poll Results: Libertarians say there are multiple important impacts of Libertarian campaigns

When Libertarians visiting the LP.org website were asked to identify the most important impact of Libertarian candidates running for office, forty percent of the 1,186 respondents said “all or most” of the choices listed are important.
