It was a busy Saturday at work when the phone call came in. As I sprinted to my vehicle in a panic all that was crossing my mind was the 30 minutes till I would reach home. My wife and children having to see all the destruction and death and I was 30 minutes away.

OK lowers signature requirement by tens of thousands to become a recognized party

ImageGovernor Fallin of Oklahoma yesterday (5/12/16) signed bill HB 2181, which lowers the number of signatures required to become a recognized state party from 5% of the those who voted in the previous general election to 3%.

To get on the ballot in 2016 in Oklahoma, 24,712 valid signatures will be needed. Under the old standard, the amount would have been 41,188.

Libertarian elected to Aubrey, TX City Council

ImageCalvin Tillman was elected to the Aubrey City Council, Place 4 on May 9. Aubrey is a town in Denton County, TX, and has a population of 2,595.

Mr. Tillman received 62% of the vote, getting 147 votes to his competitor's 87.
