Help us match $30k pledge for ballot access

Please help the Libertarian Party take advantage of a $30,000 contribution match from Richard Winger, long time LP Member, to put the Libertarian Party on the ballot in Oklahoma. We've already raised $21,124.10 for that purpose.

We're just $8,875.90 short of what we need for the match. Please help.

GOP tries to remove Indiana Libertarian city office slate

ImageThe Madison County Republican Party is trying to remove a slate of Libertarian Party candidates in the races for the Anderson, Indiana city offices.

There are five libertarians running for the city offices: Rob Jozwiak for Anderson mayor; Tracy Walser for Anderson city clerk; Chris Nealis, city council District 5; Robert Walser, city council, District 6; and Brad Kirby, city council at-large.

Alabama LP to host rally to bring Uber and Lyft to Birmingham

ImageThe Alabama Libertarian Party will host a rally Friday morning to bring ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft to Birmingham.

The rally will take place in front of city hall from 11 am to 1 pm.

U.S. District Court Rules Pennsylvania System of Imposing Costs on Minor Party Petitions that Lack Sufficient Signatures is Unconstitutional

A U.S. District Court judge ruled last week that the process of imposing large costs to minor parties and candidates in Pennsylvania is unconstitutional.

In 2004, Presidential candidate Ralph Nader was ordered to pay over $81,102 in court costs after his petition was invalidated. Two years later, Green Party U.S. Senate nominee Carl Romanelli was also ordered to pay $80,407 when his petition was deemed invalid.

In 2012, the Libertarian Party petition for President had as many as 70 volunteers checking petition signatures all day at the elections department for a week.
