LP Monday Message: Vote Libertarian tomorrow!

November 7, 2011

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Tomorrow is Election Day!

If you haven't already voted, please go tomorrow and vote for every Libertarian on your ballot.

Look here to see if any Libertarians are running in your area. The list is sorted by state.

We have a total of 87 Libertarians on the ballot tomorrow. That's pretty good for an odd-numbered year. In November 2009, we only knew of 57 Libertarians on the ballot.

Cato Institute launches Libertarianism.org

from the Cato Institute:

Libertarianism is more than a set of policies about education, health care, defense, and trade. Behind those, providing their foundation, are ideas and history, the writings and actions of great men and women who have argued and fought for liberty. To help better express and discuss those ideas, the Cato Institute is pleased to announce the launch of Libertarianism.org.

LP Monday Message: Libertarian Party HQ must move

October 24, 2011

Dear Libertarian Party supporter,

The lease on our national Libertarian Party headquarters is up at the end of February 2012.

The landlord has indicated they'll be raising the rates 10% to almost $140K per year.

The building (the infamous Watergate Building) is only 60% leased as it is, so we think they're trying to get everyone to leave.

In the video, Benedict said, "Rick Perry, I support amnesty and I think you do too. You supported a guest worker program to help people who would otherwise be illegal aliens."

Politifact has rated Benedict's claim "mostly true."
