Libertarian candidate Rex Bell got historic percentage in Indiana

In November 2010, Rex Bell ran for Indiana state representative and got 20.78%, against both a Republican and a Democrat. According to Ballot Access News, that is the first time in 85 years that any party candidate (other than a Republican or Democrat) has gotten more than 20% for Indiana legislature, running against both a Republican and a Democrat.

Congratulations to Rex Bell and the Indiana LP.

LP Monday Message: Republicans are about to double-cross Tea Partiers

January 17, 2011

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. MLK suffered serious personal risk to fight against government violations of the rights of minorities. I'm glad we remember him each year.

Although it's a day off for many people, we're hard at work at LP Headquarters today. We've spent the weekend working on some internal computer upgrades, and hopefully we can complete that project today.

We also have a new video on our home page for you.

January 10, 2011

Dear Friend of Liberty,

The Libertarian Party has posted a statement from our chair, Mark Hinkle, condemning the recent shooting in Arizona.

While some Congressmen are making noises about new laws and restrictions, I think it's important for Libertarians to remain calm and stick to our libertarian principles.
