Libertarian Julie Fox endorsed by Chicago Daily Observer editor

Julie Fox is running for Illinois State Controller. She has been endorsed by Tom Roeser, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Chicago Daily Observer. Roeser writes, "She’s a very bright CPA without a partisan axe to grind who passionately believes in latch-key abstemious government leading to a consolidation for efficiency of Treasurer and Controller." It's official: Libertarians show the most political courage

The folks at Project Vote Smart recently told us, "...we wanted to let you know that your candidates have demonstrated significantly more political courage than both the Republican and Democratic candidates for Congress." According to Project Vote Smart, the average response rate for congressional candidates this year is 38%, while the response rate from Libertarian candidates is 75%. This year, Project Vote Smart is offering an interactive voter's guide called VoteEasy.

Dale Ogden is running for governor of California. He was recently interviewed by Tim Cavanaugh on Reason.tv.

Libertarian candidate Randall Hayes in televised debate

Randall Hayes, running for U.S. Senate in Louisiana, appeared in a televised debate on October 27.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported on the debate, saying "The candidates were less sure of themselves when asked for specifics on what federal spending they would seek to offset the tax cuts with corresponding cuts to spending. Only Hayes, the Libertarian, offered anything beyond vague bromides about cutting waste."

Democratic Incumbent Switches to Libertarian Party

In Clark County, Indiana, incumbent county surveyor Bob Isgrigg has switched his affiliation from Democrat to Libertarian as he runs for re-election this year.

Isgrigg has expressed concern about how the county handles its drainage projects, and filed a lawsuit against county officials several years ago.

Early voting for the November 2 election is open in many states. I really encourage you to vote early if you can. It's easy to be busy on Election Day or accidentally forget to vote. We have over 800 Libertarians running this year -- please give them your support!
