Irvine polls 10%, releases video starring hyperactive "government grant guru"

According to the National Journal, a recent poll shows Libertarian congressional candidate Travis Irvine getting 10% support. Irvine is running in Ohio's 12th District.

Libertarian candidate Beitler polls 6% again

SurveyUSA has published another poll of the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina. Libertarian Michael Beitler polled 6%. Politically, his strongest support came from independents (12%) and liberals (15%).

If you've been getting our Monday Messages, you might remember just a couple of months ago I announced that the number of fans on our Facebook fanpage had passed 40,000.

Well, last weekend our fanpage passed 70,000! Wow!

Poll says North Carolina Libertarian in 3-way tie for independent vote

Michael Beitler is the Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. According to this poll conducted in late June, Beitler is nearly tied with the Republican and Democratic party candidates among independent voters. Burr (Republican) - 27% Marshall (Democrat) - 29% Beitler (Libertarian) - 26% (See page 11 of the poll document.) Beitler polled at 10% overall.

The long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been back in the news recently, and we just had the bizarre spectacle of the Republican National Committee Chairman saying he didn't like Obama's war in Afghanistan, while the DNC chastised him for failing to support the troops.

Survey USA recently published results of a poll of the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina. Libertarian Mike Beitler polled at 6 percent. Broken down by ideology, Beitler's support was strongest among liberals. Broken down by party affiliation, his support was strongest among independents.

Liberals: 8%
Moderates: 6%
Conservatives: 4%

Support by party affiliation:
