Phone: (901) 371-7190

About the Candidate:

Rodger was born at Crittenden Memorial Hospital (now Crittenden Regional Hospital) and was raised in West Memphis. He graduated from West Memphis High School in 1994. He graduated with an Associates of Science in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical in 2004 and moved to Marion in 2005. Rodger is a Network Manager for Strategic Behavioral Health and has worked in the IT field for over 15 years. He and his wife, Jessica Paxton, home school two boys. Rodger says, “As a working home school family with a stay-at-home mother, we understand the struggles of every day Arkansans. I will work hard to reduce (and eventually revoke) the property tax and income tax laws in Arkansas. The current tax burden for our fellow citizens is way too high and must be reduced. This starts by reducing the size and scope of government in our everyday lives.” Rodger is a member of HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) and he and his sons are members of The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Arkansas. He has been politically active since working on his mother's West Memphis City Council race in 1992. He is currently the State Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Arkansas and spearheaded the process to gain ballot access for the LPAR for the first time in history, which took a year and $50,000 in donations. He also held the First District Representative position for the LPAR before being elected as State Chairman in 2010.”

About the Candidate:

Arkansans in the 3rd district value their freedom and are tired of seeing it diminished little by little by the Federal Government. Even worse, voters in this district have been let down by their current Representative who has voted to extend the Patriot Act, pass the NDAA which has already been ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge, enact internet sales tax laws, and has generally worked against the cause of liberty.

I decided to run for Congress to give Arkansans a choice. You can reelect a career politician who will continue to serve the interests of the banks and corporations that fund his campaign, or you can elect a citizen legislator who will serve the principles of liberty and the voters of this district. I will go to Washington on your behalf to fight for constitutionally limited government, free market economics, sound money, peaceful foreign policy, and personal liberty.

I hope you will find this site useful in learning about and understanding my views on the issues that face our nation. While other candidates will work very hard to divide the voters up into "left" and "right", I will tell you that there is no left or right. There is only freedom or tyranny, and we move closer and closer to tyranny every day. Join me this election year in rejecting the path towards tyranny and demanding a path towards liberty.

About the Candidate:

I'm not a politician, but what America needs is fewer politicians and more common sense! I'm a simple, working man, like many of you, who is sick and tired of government running our economy into the ground and destroying our children's future.

Cut spending & balance the budget now. If you were running huge deficits in your personal budget, wouldn't you know you needed to cut spending immediately and start living within your means? I'll bring common sense to Washington.

Protect our constitutional rights. I will work to protect your right to keep and bear arms. I will fight to repeal the unconstitutional Patriot Act, oppose all efforts to regulate the Internet, move to abolish the TSA, and oppose recent disturbing moves toward making America a police state. It's time to stand up for our rights, and I will do that in Washington.

Foreign policy. The President lacks the constitutional authority to go to war. Congress must take that authority back. We have troops in 130 countries around the world, which do nothing to make us safer and are contributing to bankrupting our country.

Get government out of healthcare. I will work to repeal Obamacare and fight to bring healthcare decisions back to patients and doctors where they belong.

About the Candidate:

Jessica grew up in a one red light town in rural Tennessee. The daughter of a public school teacher and an oil field worker, Jessica has lived the average American life since birth -no silver spoons, no trust fund and no politically powerful family ties. Just like you. She is an average Arkansan – a wife, a mother and a small business owner. She is an average Arkansan who wants to represent and protect average citizens from our corrupt, dominant and inefficient government.

After studying Public Relations at the University of Memphis, Jessica moved to Marion and married Rodger Paxton, a Network Administrator, who was born and raised in West Memphis. In Marion they are homeschooling two beautiful little boys. When Reagan (6) grows up, he would like to create Alien video games, and Grayson (4) plans to be a cowboy.

In 2009, Jessica was appointed Communications Director and Convention Coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Arkansas. In 2010 the Executive Committee honored her as “Libertarian of the Year” at the LPAR’s yearly convention. Jessica then served as interim First District Representative before returning to her role as Media Director. In 2011 she assisted with the LPAR’s ballot access efforts, which led to a successful petition drive and the historic accomplishment of establishing a new political party in Arkansas.
