Perhaps you can provide details about why you've chosen to exclude from your forum only one of the three candidates for President who will be on every American's ballot. I didn't see those details in any of your announcements.
The Libertarian Party candidate, Gary Johnson, is very popular with veterans and it is shameful for your organization to seemingly randomly deny the veterans you purport to serve the opportunity to hear from all of their choices for Commander-in-Chief.
Libertarian Party clears hurdles for ballot access in Ohio, New York
On target to be on the ballot in all 50 states and DC
Alexandria - The Libertarian Party’s candidate for president, Gary Johnson, has cleared more hurdles to be on the ballot in Ohio and New York and is on track for ballot access in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The final step for ballot access in New York was completed when the time frame for specific objections to the petitions turned in by the Libertarian Party of New York ran out.
Libertarian Party Chair Rebukes Obama Administration, DEA
DEA refuses to re-classify marijuana from a schedule 1 to a schedule 2 substance
Alexandria - Libertarian National Committee Chair Nicholas Sarwark today rebuked the Obama Administration and the DEA for the decision not to reclassify marijuana as a schedule 2 substance in spite of overwhelming pressure and widespread requests to do so. Sarwark has issued this statement:
“The American people overwhelmingly support a reclassification of this substance that is actually proven effective in combating multiple medical disorders as well as being safer than alcohol, tobacco, and most prescription painkillers.
It sounded like it and the Libertarian Party proudly welcomes Cruz supporters.
Last night at the Republican National Convention, Sen. Cruz encouraged Americans to "vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution."
The Libertarian Party agrees.
Nicholas Sarwark, Chair of the Libertarian National Committee, says, "Come November, we encourage those who seek to follow their conscience, who love freedom and the Constitution, as Sen. Cruz describes, to vote Libertarian. We have candidates running for positions ranging from President to City Council."
Jeb and Mitt, we welcome your vote and admire your courage!
CNN reports that Gov. Jeb Bush and Gov. Mitt Romney are considering voting for Gov. Gary Johnson, Libertarian candidate for President.
Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee, Nicholas Sarwark, says, “The Libertarian Party is delighted that Govs. Bush and Romney are considering voting for our candidates, Govs. Johnson and Weld. I think they know that Johnson and Weld are far more qualified to be president and vice president than Trump and Pence.
The FBI has decided not to push for criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server for her State Department emails.
"This is a serious miscarriage of justice," says Nicholas Sarwark, chair of the Libertarian National Committee. "One key criteria for laws to be just is that they must be applied equally to all." Countless other people who have served in roles handling classified information have been prosecuted, fined, and jailed for far lesser breaches of protocol and security.
ALEXANDRIA -- Congress has been debating the merits of adding women into Selective Service to be drafted with men during times of national emergency.
Sen. Rand Paul has suggested that it would be better to end the draft.
The Libertarian Party agrees.
"The draft is simply slavery by another name. Drafting people to go abroad and kill or be killed is barbaric and a discredit to our military and country," says Nicholas Sarwark, chair of the Libertarian National Committee.
The Libertarian Party opposes the No Fly No Buy bill and other restrictions without due process
ALEXANDRIA — The Libertarian Party opposes the No Fly List, "no buy" lists, and other such lists where the government infringes on a person's rights without due process of law.
In recent years, the federal government has used "the war on terror" as an excuse to encroach on our most fundamental human rights.
Warrant-less wiretapping, detaining prisoners for years without trials in Guantanamo Bay, "no fly" lists that are compiled secretly and without due process, and similar "no buy" lists all violate the human rights of Americans and non-Americans alike.
The Libertarian Party is America's third largest political party, founded in 1971. Our vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.
