About the Candidate:
Erik Viker is an elected member of Selinsgrove Borough Council in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. He was recently re-elected to a second four-year term. The first Libertarian Party member elected to public office in the history of Snyder County, he has served as Vice-President of Council and chairs the borough Public Safety committee. He has been chairman of the Libertarian Party of Snyder County and is an associate editor of the Libertarian Penn state newsletter.
Viker holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. Viker is employed by Susquehanna University, where he is an Associate Professor of Theatre and teaches courses in production operations and management. His articles on theatre safety, management and education have appeared nationally in Stage Directions magazine, Teaching Theatre and the quarterly journal Theatre Design & Technology. As a freelance production technician, Viker has provided operations and technology services to civic theatres and performing arts organizations nationwide. Viker still works as a stagehand and is an active member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 636.
