About the Candidate

Coy Reynolds served in the United States Navy for nine years, seven 
of those years as a nuclear plant operator aboard the USS Enterprise
CVN-65. During that time he participated in Operation Joint Endeavor,
enforcing the no-fly zone in Bosnia. He also participated in Operation
Southern Watch, and Operation Desert Fox in Iraq. He was deployed
in the Persian Gulf on September 11, 2001. Enterprise aircraft were the
first to strike al Qaeda and Taliban training camps during Operation
Enduring Freedom.

Coy finished his Bachelors Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology in
2003 using the Navy College Program. He worked as a Water Plant
Operator for both public and private water utilities. He is currently
employed at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. He volunteers
his time at the Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center teaching leadership
and team building on their confidence course. He also leads the
volunteers at one of the weekend camps for 3rd graders during the
summer, teaching children about God and the scriptures.

Coy grew up in Granbury TX and is a graduate of Granbury High School.
He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and attends
services in Granbury. He currently lives in Glen Rose with his wife of
fourteen years, Michelle. Michelle is the Communications Director at
Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center. His three children, Lonnie, Bill and
Lizzie all attend school in Glen Rose.
