About the Candidate
I’ve lived in Jacksonville nearly all of my life. I believe that experience is very important in this race. My family comes from a long line of tree farmers right here in North Florida, we have maintained and managed over 800 acres of land which has been in our family for several generations. I’m a strong believer in low-taxes and the power of volunteerism. Jacksonville families simply cannot afford a new tax. Therefore, I feel that the board should pursue new tax-free programs; encouraging cooperation with local volunteer groups as well as local sponsors. Whenever tax-dollars can be saved, I think that’s a good thing! By fostering relationships with the community we can find new and innovative ways to fund programs without spending your hard earned money. At the same time, I understand the importance of conservation. I love Jacksonville and want to make it a better place to live. I am a graduate of the University of North Florida, serve as Chair for Citizens for Responsible Government, Duval County Chair for Americans for Prosperity, as well as Vice-Chair for Concerned Taxpayers of Duval County.
