Have been fighting taxes since 1985.

Successfully opposed a half-cent Ad-Valorem tax about to be imposed by the Oceanside city council in 1991. Reversed the vote from 3-2 in favor of tax to 0-5

Only visible opponent and wrote the ballot arguments against Carlsbad’s city councils attempted repeal of it’s spending limit 1.24 of the municipal code. We defeated the repeal by a margin of 66% to 34% of voters.

Previously campaigned for State assembly.
