About the Candidate:
Buck Bailey's Campaign Promises:
Read and work to understand every piece of legislation proposed during my time in office. If unable to do so, I will either abstain in protest or vote no on the issue.
Restore the Federal Government to its proper Constitutional roles. In particular, support the ninth and tenth amendments to the Constitution to protect the state government roles and the rights of individuals.
Work to end the use of US Military Forces as the world's police force. We must remain strong and able to go anywhere in the world to defend US Citizens against aggression. However, once the aggression is stopped, our military forces should return to US territory. End the "police" actions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, and elsewhere in the world.

Matthew A. Webber
State Representative, 12th District, Colorado
Election Date: July 6, 2012
Location
About the Candidate:
Matthew A. Webber is not a Native of Colorado, but that's because the choice was not his; both of his children are. Approaching 40, Matt found himself in a situation many Americans would find familiar, unsatisfied with his current work situation and not sure what do next. He was sure that a change needed to be made, that nobody was going to do his work for him, and that he shouldn't expect anybody else to either. After 15 years in the plumbing sales & service industry, he decided to pursue a second college degree and will soon be designing product instead of selling it. This is the American Dream that previous generations fought to preserve for us, that anybody should be able to change their life situation provided they are able to prioritize financial and time commitments, and they are also willing to make the sacrifices that those choices require. This is the American Dream that Matthew A. Webber will fight for if elected to Colorado's State House from District 12.”

Brett Halbert
State Representative, 32nd District, Colorado
Election Date: July 6, 2012
Location
About the Candidate:
Brett decided to run for the State House because “Despite his campaign vows to make marijuana enforcement a low priority, the President has stepped up raids on these clinics and has been remarkably successful – if one considers tormenting sick people, shutting down tax-paying businesses, confiscating private property and threatening to jail people a success. My Goal is to reduce the size and scope of state government while bringing back our personal freedom. The issues I regard as urgent and feel the most passionate about are: Balancing the state budget by cutting spending, not raising taxes; Reforming education by transitioning to a free market providing school choice and parent responsibility; Securing full marriage equality for all people regardless of gender; Dismantling the excessive regulations surrounding the medicinal marijuana industry, providing access to medicine for patients; Pro-legal immigration legislation that allows individuals who do not pose a credible threat to security, health, or property to remain in the state contributing to their personal well-being and the economy.”

About the Candidate:
Matthew writes, “I was born in Wisconsin, raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended college in Evansville. I have been a resident of Colorado since 1998, currently reside in Littleton and work for a small business that makes software for construction companies. My career as a technologist has taken me across the spectrum of computer technology as a system administrator, programmer and network engineer. This experience uniquely positions me to be knowledgeable in regard to votes on national technology issues and bills such as SOPA, PIPA and other threats to technology and the people’s privacy and rights. I received the Presidential Volunteer Service award in 2011 for my work with local Cub Scout packs and Boy Scout troops in Aurora. As a former longtime Republican I have become disenfranchised with the two party system and have entered the race as a Libertarian because it more accurately reflects my belief in small cost-effective government and the unalienable rights of citizens.”
