Bumbling Omaha Mayor Attempts Chicago-Style Politics as Recall Election Looms

LP Monday Message: Republicans are about to double-cross Tea Partiers

January 17, 2011

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. MLK suffered serious personal risk to fight against government violations of the rights of minorities. I'm glad we remember him each year.

Although it's a day off for many people, we're hard at work at LP Headquarters today. We've spent the weekend working on some internal computer upgrades, and hopefully we can complete that project today.

We also have a new video on our home page for you.

When will we know that Republicans successfully fooled the Tea Partiers?

When they raise the debt limit without real spending cuts.
59% (1897 votes)
When they bail out the U.S. Postal Service.
2% (75 votes)
When they vote to extend unemployment benefits yet again.
5% (144 votes)
When they vote for farm subsidies.
5% (169 votes)
When they refuse to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits.
