With election day quickly approaching, Libertarian gubernatorial candidate John Monds is receiving a lot of media attention. John Monds holds the record for the highest number of votes received by any Libertarian candidate in the entire history of the party.

USA Today on Carla Howell's MA tax rollback initiative

Libertarian Carla Howell chairs the Alliance to Roll Back Taxes in Massachusetts. She has led an initiative to roll back the state's sales tax from 6.25% to 3%. That measure is on the ballot this November.

USA Today covered the story on October 18.

Carla Howell has also worked to eliminate the Massachusetts income tax. In 2002, the measure to end the state income tax got 45% support. The measure was on the ballot again in 2008 and got 30% support.

Libertarian Lex Green is running for Governor of Illinois. He appeared on WTTW's "Chicago Tonight" on October 18.

82% of voters get to vote Libertarian

Ballot Access News reports:

There is at least one Libertarian on the ballot across the U.S, in areas containing 81.9% of the voters, for the November 2010 election. The Libertarian Party, as is usual in midterm years, is on the ballot in more places than any other minor party.

Libertarian candidate Wes Wagner in Oregon poll

In this SurveyUSA poll, Libertarian Wes Wagner, running for Oregon governor, is at 3%. That is higher than the gap between the Republican and Democrat, so Wagner may turn out to be the deciding factor in this race.

The poll shows Wagner with support from 9% of independents.

Libertarian Marc Delphine, running for U.S. Senate, is also included in the poll.
