Libertarian candidate Wes Wagner in Oregon poll

In this SurveyUSA poll, Libertarian Wes Wagner, running for Oregon governor, is at 3%. That is higher than the gap between the Republican and Democrat, so Wagner may turn out to be the deciding factor in this race.

The poll shows Wagner with support from 9% of independents.

Libertarian Marc Delphine, running for U.S. Senate, is also included in the poll.

WASHINGTON - With prospects of a Republican takeover of Congress, Libertarian Party (LP) Chair Mark Hinkle posed this question: "In order to balance the budget, where will the GOP pull the plug first: on Granny, or on foreign wars?"

Hinkle continued, "Of course, Republicans may have no serious intention of cutting federal deficits or spending, and their complaints about 'out-of-control spending' might be hypocrisy."

LP Monday Message: Libertarian Donors Club recommendations

October 11, 2010

Dear Friend of Liberty,

This week I'm forwarding you a message from Nick Youngers, founder of the Libertarian Donors Club:

Date: Sunday, October 10

My Fellow Excited Libertarians,

In my first two letters I promised I'd be back with an updated list of exciting, important, Libertarian races for 2010. We have found nine more races to add to our original list of four - they are listed below.

Cleveland's main newspaper endorses Libertarian candidate Matthew Cantrell

The Cleveland Plain Dealer has endorsed Libertarian Matthew Cantrell for Ohio treasurer. The paper sums up its endorsement by writing, "[Democrat] Boyce and [Republican] Mandel have proven to have feet of clay. Cantrell, by contrast, has a spring in his step and the credentials to do the job. He's worthy of your vote on Nov. 2."

Read the endorsement.
