LP on the ballot in Iowa

ImagePresidential and vice presidential candidates Gary Johnson and Bill Weld will be on the ballot in Iowa, as the Secretary of State confirmed their nomination petitions on August 26.

In addition to Governors Johnson and Weld, the Iowa LP will have 22 candidates appearing on the general election ballot.

To become a recognized party, Johnson and Weld must get at least 2% of the vote this November. It would be the first time in its history that the Iowa LP was a recognized party, according to Richard Winger, publisher of Ballot Access News.

Governors Johnson and Weld are now on the ballot in 45 states, plus D.C.
