New headquarters address and new membership plan

Dear Friend of Liberty,

LP National office in Alexandria, Va.I’m happy to report that on May 31, we moved from our old rented headquarters building in Washington, D.C., to our new purchased office in Alexandria, Va.

It was a lot of work, and much work remains, but things are coming together and overall I’m very pleased with our move.

Several people have asked me for pictures of the new office. I’m showing one exterior photo in this email. We hope to have more pictures of the inside for you soon. But we’ve been in the process of unpacking, and even getting some interior remodeling done, and I don’t want to show you the interior until we’ve spruced it up a bit.

Mail sent to the old address will be forwarded for a while, but please start sending snail mail to our new address.

Our new address is:

Libertarian National Committee
1444 Duke St.
Alexandria, VA 22314

(There is no apartment number or suite number.)

Our phone number remains the same, and that is 202-333-0008 or 1-800-ELECT-US.

On a completely different subject, the Libertarian National Committee has been working on changes to our dues-paying membership program. One of the primary motives is to give more recognition to our top donors in publications like LP News, on our website, and at our conventions. A key financial difference is that the cost of a Life Membership will go up from $1,000 to $1,500 starting Aug. 1, 2014.

We’ll be presenting all of the changes soon. But I particularly wanted to let you know, we intend to inform our donors how much they will have to donate before Aug. 1 if they’d like to achieve the Life Membership level before the price goes up.

Yours in liberty,

Wes Benedict
