Here’s the job description:
LP Field Operative:
Reports to: Project Field Strategist
Overview:
Field Operatives will work with candidates and affiliates to promote the Libertarian Party, build state and county affiliates, and primarily support candidates in their campaigns. Operatives will go door to door, make phone calls, staff events, and other party building activities.
Duties include:
- Supporting candidates and party affiliates in spreading the message through canvassing.
- Phone Banking across the country to advocate for candidates and the Libertarian Party.
- Work with candidates and affiliates to plan and staff events.
- Gather data for use by the Libertarian Party and it’s candidates through canvassing and other forms of voter outreach.
Qualifications:
- Able to travel away from home for months at a time.
- Able to walk on flat surfaces and inclines on various terrains to communicate with voters door to door.
- Have a clear and understandable speaking voice that will be well received by the audience.
- Flexible to frequent change in schedule and location.
- Previous campaign experience desired but not required.
