Early Bird Registration Ends Today! New Speakers & Entertainers Added!

In case you haven’t noticed, there are new additions to the speaker lineup since the last LP News (April) — and we’re trying to keep it updated.

Ben Swann, Investigative Reporter, Truth in Media
Ben Swann

One is former news anchor, Emmy Award winner, and investigative reporter Ben Swann. He is becoming an Internet phenomenon and his many endeavors can be seen at benswann.com, including his Truth in Media project, as well as thelibertybeat.com. This charismatic speaker will be part of the Saturday night Banquet.

Melyssa Hubbard, Author, Political Activist
Melyssa Hubbard

Former professional dominatrix turned political activist and Spanking City Hall author Melyssa Hubbard will be telling the story of her successful efforts in Indianapolis to overturn egregious tax hikes and other misdeeds of politicians in her town and state. She is also a former top salesperson for Angie’s List, and hers is a story of individual empowerment and self-actualization.

Michael Grossberg, Founder, Libertarian Futurist Society
Michael Grossberg

Michael Grossberg is the founder of the Libertarian Futurist Society, which presents the Prometheus Awards at the World Science Fiction Convention. He will offer his professional insights on “The Arts of Liberty,” and how fiction, film, and theater help to shape our visions of freedom and the future, including recommendations in each category.

Heather Shumaker, Parenting Author and Advocate
Heather Shumaker

As a youngster, Heather Shumaker had the good fortune to attend the School for Young Children in Columbus. The SYC believes in allowing kids “free play” and to set their own rules (guided by adults), resulting in spontaneous compassion and conflict-resolution skills. Her excellent book It’s OK NOT to Share has 29 “Renegade Rules” — but the Renegade “Golden Rule” is: “It’s okay as long as it’s not hurting people or property.” Very libertarian, and (parents or not) we can all learn from this philosophy!

Charlie Earl, Ohio LP Gubernatorial Candidate
Charlie Earl

LP gubernatorial candidate Charlie Earl is facing some ballot access challenges in Ohio. But whether he makes it on the 2014 ballot or not, this is a dynamic man with an impressive CV. He has worked as a radio and TV broadcaster and has taught advertising and mass communications. He served in the Ohio House, took some time off from politics, and is now on a mission to spread the message of liberty!

So buy your package now before the prices go up. You won’t be disappointed!

See you there,

Nancy Neale
Chair, 2014 Convention Mgt. Cmte.
