Libertarian Policies Shine Through Obama Programs

The Executive Vice President of the Cato Institute recently wrote a piece for POLITICO magazine’s debate forum. In his writing, David Boaz asserts that Obama’s recent December victories have been significantly in line with libertarian principles.

From Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to the federal pay freeze, Obama’s programs have echoed the libertarian ideals of limited government and greater personal freedom. While the president is far from being an ideal libertarian candidate, Boaz claims, Obama has accomplished more on behalf of libertarian platform in the month of December than he has during his entire time in office.
