Allen Buckley, the Georgia Libertarian Party candidate for US Senate, is polling at 11%, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on October 21.
If no candidate receives a majority of the votes, then the race moves to a runoff election between the top two finishers on January 10, 2017.
In 2008, Mr. Buckley forced a runoff election in the race for US Senate, when none of the candidates received at least 50% of the vote.
There will be a debate among the US Senate candidates taped on Friday, October 21, which will air Sunday, October 23 at 6 pm ET on Georgia Public Broadcasting television. It will be the only debate for the Georgia US Senate candidates.
