Montana Libertarian dies in car accident

Mike Fellows, the chair of the Montana Libertarian Party, candidate for the US House of Representatives, and long-time activist, died in a car accident on September 19.

Mr. Fellows was the longest-serving state chair still acting in the Libertarian Party, having been a chair since the 1990’s. He had also run for office in every general election since 1996, and was on the ballot in 2016 for the US House seat. The filing fees for races in Montana are 1% of the office’s annual salary, and Mr. Fellows spent thousands of dollars to get on the ballot.
