For over 100 years, our country has been focusing on trying to solve the integrated problems of addiction and substance abuse by focusing on substance control. Dr. Wetsman is an addiction psychiatrist from New Orleans and a Lifetime Member of the Libertarian Party.
Professionally, he studies the genetics and neurobiology of addiction in an effort to end addiction in America in our lifetimes. On this call, Dr. Wetsman will give a brief description of the underlying biology of addiction to show that it is the same brain illness that causes addiction regardless of whether someone uses drugs.
