Dear Libertarian,
There are countless opportunities to get Libertarians elected this year. While a couple of states have statewide and other large scale elections this year, most states have predominantly local elections.
And indeed, local elections are where we have our best odds.
Our team is working every day to recruit candidates to run, help provide them with advice and training, and set them on the path to success.
Cara Schulz is our candidate recruiter, and she is also doing a lot of candidate training. She is one of two elected Libertarians we have on staff. She knows how to win and she’s helping teach that to as many Libertarians as possible this year.
Recently, I received this feedback from a Libertarian activist and leader in Iowa:
I wanted to let you know how well received Cara Schulz’s presentation at the Libertarian Party of Iowa was by our convention attendees. Her presentation was liked so much that she received a standing ovation at the end. The national party was presented in a positive way and I felt our party members and potential candidates got an honest look at what it is like to run for office and what we need to do as candidates and campaign staff.
Additionally, during the convention, I heard several comments about how much the LNC is doing to support us and I have never heard that in the past. Thank you for all that you do.
Your staff at LPHQ is committed to helping candidates throughout the election cycle to prepare for their elections and be as successful as possible.
If you’d like to help Cara help candidates, please give today.
Here are two of our top goals for 2019:
- Put 200 candidates on ballots. That would be a 100% increase over 2017.
- Achieve 70 wins. That would be a 46% increase over 2017. We have already had eight wins so far this year!
Your investment can help make that happen. Please donate today.
Thank you for your support!

Interim Executive Director
